Master Plan

Nine volunteers are actively pursuing a governance/financial stability proposal to present to the special commission on July 17 th. We plan for it to be on the website shortly after the presentation.

Other Lake Association members are continuing to pursue the 6-8 month time frame objectives outlined in the June meeting minutes. If you would like to volunteer to facilitate or assist with one of these initiatives please email us. The Master Plan, in its entirety, is available on the web site http://www.cgclakeassoc.org/.

Lake Entrance Signs

The following is from Bill and Jane Swofford:

We would like to extend a sincere "thank you" to Linda Goss of Grove Garden for her generous donation of plants to help us fill out the beds around the entrance signs. A special "thank you" to Pat Steinkuehler, our "Star Green Thumber" who carries water to the south sign twice a week to water and weed. It is no small task.We could certainly use someone else on that side of the lake to help her by adopting one of those days. Needless to say, some rainfall would cut down on the frequency of need. Green Thumbers are still needed to help water the west and east sign beds. A big "thank you" to Ron Demler for agreeing to water the northeast sign. Thanks also to Sylvia Murphy for sharing some of her perennials with us and to Christie Brungardt for the weed-prevention application. It is all appreciated.

If you would like to assist with, or be part of the maintenance program, please email us at cglakeassoc@yahoo.com. Please include your contact information, such as phone or email.

DID YOU KNOW?

Life jackets must be READILY available in the boat, they cannot be in a compartment or other container. The following is from KDWP web site: Each PFD must be in good condition, the proper size for the intended wearer, and very importantly, must be readily accessible! Readily accessible means you must be able to put the PFD on in a reasonable amount of time in an emergency (vessel sinking, on fire, etc.). PFDs should not be stowed in plastic bags, in locked or closed compartments or have other gear stowed on top of them.

The complete boating laws and safety tips are available at the by clicking the KDWP link on our Lake Associaton web site home page http://www.cgclakeassoc.org/
